My name is Elise St. Lawrence and I focus my practice on family law and estate planning. I have been practicing since 2013; however, I was intimately and consistently involved in family law prior to becoming an attorney, working as a legal assistant and paralegal since 2006. I attended law school while working full-time in Boston and residing in Worcester County, often experiencing long and grueling days of work, travel and education, and taking trains, planes and automobiles (figuratively) to make it work. I bring this same type of determination and dedication to representing my clients. I hope that my path to becoming an attorney shows my clients that I will do everything that I can to advocate for their interests.
Once I graduated law school, I practiced at two Massachusetts family law firms, specializing in family law, before joining a Manchester, New Hampshire firm. There, I continued my practice of family law and expanded into estate planning, so that I could better service my clients in all aspects of their life. I continued to practice in Massachusetts, while also joining the New Hampshire bar. Thereafter, I assisted clients in both Massachusetts and New Hampshire with their family law and estate planning needs.
I prefer to take a mediation before litigation approach to legal matters. I find that it allows a family to have more control and it keeps their hard-earned funds in their pocket to infuse back into their family. I pride myself in consistent and effective communication. Each client going through any law-related matter has their own set of circumstances, and communication and answers to questions at a crucial moment in their life may save them from unnecessary stress.
I attended Bridgewater State College (now University) where I received by Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, cum laude, with a minor in psychology. I received my law degree from Massachusetts School of Law.
I am originally from Southern Massachusetts and moved to New Hampshire in 2016. I am often back in Southern Massachusetts visiting family and friends. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, daughter, our pets, and family. I grew up around music, so I enjoy singing, and you may find me line dancing every once in a while. I had hoped for a future in soccer, however, two knee surgeries ended my soccer career. Otherwise, you would have found me out on the field with Attorney Correia.
I am excited to bring my experience and compassion to Morneau Law to continue to assist clients in both Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
