y name is Rosangeliz Torres and I focus my practice in Family Law. As a daughter of an immigrant single mother, I know firsthand that life can become extremely difficult and confusing when trying to navigate the legal world on your own, especially when you’re not familiar with the laws of this country. My goal at Morneau Law is to make my legal world less intimidating and scary to the families that need us the most. If seeing an attorney that looks like you, a family member or friend is comforting, then I hope to be that for my clients.
I attended Salem State University in Salem, MA and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications, minoring in Philosophy and English. Seeing the lack of women attorneys of color in my community and being of the strong belief that representation matters as well as having a strong desire to help people, I then decided that I wanted to be an attorney. I received a Paralegal Studies Certificate at Salem State University and I worked as a Paralegal in the fields of Personal Injury, Business Immigration and Collections law while attending Massachusetts School of Law at night while working full time during the day. I received a Juris Doctor from the Massachusetts School of Law and passed the bar shortly thereafter.
When I’m not at the office, I am usually chasing around my toddler and spending time with my friends and family. When I get any time for myself, I am usually boxing, reading or catching a murder mystery Netflix series on my cozy couch or pretending to be an interior decorator.
